  • 1. Principle
    Liquid organic solvents are liquids at room temperature and have strong volatility. By using an industrial syringe to quantitatively transport organic solvents and heating them to a set temperature, while vaporizing them into a high concentration mixture under the action of a carrier gas, the high concentration mixer is mixed with diluent gas to prepare low concentration mixtures of different concentrations as required.

    3. Gas path
    3.1 Air Circuit Design
    It is a gas-liquid mixed gas distribution system.
    The air source is compressed air, which is connected to the instrument air inlet through a pressure reducing valve. There are two branches inside the instrument, one for the carrier gas and the other for the dilution gas. Two gas channels are equipped with high-precision mass flow controllers, which can adjust and set the instantaneous flow rate of the gas in real time.
    Liquid organic solvent is filled in a transparent container, and the liquid level indicator can be observed. Set up an organic solvent injection port, and when the solvent is insufficient, you can directly open the organic solvent injection port to add it directly.
    The mixing chamber has two air outlets, one of which is a mixed gas outlet; The other is the exhaust outlet for mixed gases. The main exhaust port is located on the rear panel of the equipment and can be directly discharged to the outside through an air duct, ensuring that indoor air is not polluted and also considering the safety of experimental personnel.
    3.2 Design of System Mixing Chamber
    Before the liquid organic solvent mixture enters the mixing chamber, its concentration is uneven. In order to make its concentration uniform, we designed a distribution plate; There are two air distribution plates inside the mixing chamber, one of which is a single hole air distribution plate and the other is a porous air distribution plate. The organic solvent standard gas enters through the holes of the single hole air distribution plate, and the incoming gas collides with the multi hole air distribution plate, achieving the mixing effect with the prepared standard gas.
    In order to obtain the desired concentration, dilution gas was added before the mixing chamber, and different concentrations of VOC mixtures were obtained by changing the flow rate of the dilution gas.
    3.3 Selection of System Materials
    All pipelines are made of polytetrafluoroethylene material to reduce the adsorption of organic solvents on the pipe wall and ensure the accuracy of the target concentration.
