    Brief introduction
    The sensors used in handheld air quality detector mainly consist of gas circuit system, optical system and data processing system, etc and integrates aerodynamics, digital signal processing and optical, mechanical and electronic to detect the particle quantity of all sizes in air of certain volume quickly and convert to weight calculation data immediately. It has the characteristics of high detection precision, stable performance, strong multiple-function, easy operation and carrying and detection at any time at any place.
    The dirt particles in the air have the function to scatter the incident light. The density of scattered light is related to grain size. The air containing dirt particles is sucked in from sampling port of the sensors. When it passes through the photoactive area, the dirt particles are shined by the light to scatter optical pulses signal with certain proportion to particle size. The signal is received by photosensor and is converted to corresponding electric pulse signal and then is amplified. By counting the electric pulse in one detection cycle, the quantity of dirt particles in the detected air with unit volume is obtained. This is also the particle concentration.
